Once in a great while, we are blessed to be touched by a person who makes such an impact on us that it can never be forgotten. For thousands, that person was Dottie Boreyko. As a mother, Dottie taught each of her children that the only thing you actually keep is that which you give away, and true success can be measured by the difference one makes in the lives of others.

Dottie's special love for children was evident not only in the exceptional people her children became, but also in the smiles she put on the faces of every child she met. A warm hug, tender touch and soft-spoken word were among the finest gifts she gave; yet she was never hesitant to share whatever worldly gifts she had as well — no matter how great or small. Dottie truly believed in the words of American Scholar, Forest E. Witcraft: "A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."

With an eternally positive outlook and a passion for bringing joy into the lives of everyone she knew, Dottie Boreyko became a legendary woman, mother and friend. Her familiar words, "Dream big dreams. Small dreams have no magic," have inspired countless people to follow their dreams and make the world a better place.
